Royal Warrant Holder

Oldenburger|Fritom celebrated its 100th anniversary on November 10, 2017. The centenary took place at cultural and conference center vanBeresteyn in Veendam. To honor this, a presentation was arranged for the commemorative book titled ‘100 years – Oldenburger|Fritom’. December 11, 2017 Oldenburger|Fritom was appointed Royal Warrant Holder ‘By Appointment to the Court of the Netherlands’ as crowning achievement for 100 years of providing logistic solutions.

Official ceremony

The public announcement was held under embargo till the official ceremony. Invitees couldn’t tell much from the invite they got. Rumors were flying around until the King’s Commissioner in the province of Groningen, René Paas, took the floor. On behalf of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander he appointed Oldenburger|Fritom Royal Warrant Holder, ‘By Appointment to the Court of the Netherlands’, allowing us to use the Royal Coat of Arms in our communication.

A thank you to all stakeholders

In his acceptance speech CEO René Dale emphasized the royal hallmark is the crowning achievement for 100 years of logistic services. He pointed out the importance of receiving the trust of each stakeholder, especially the employees. Special thanks went out to Jan, Willy and Simon, also known as the Oldenburger Brothers – de Gebroeders Oldenburger. They are the grandsons of the founder of Oldenburger|Fritom and they were also present during the ceremony.

Quality, solidity and continuity

The special right to display the Royal Coat of Arms is granted to corporations that distinguish themselves in the field of quality, solidity and continuity. In the Netherlands 450 corporations are entitled to carry out this honorary title. It is awarded for a period of 25 years, after which a company can ask for a perpetuation for another 25 years.

Anniversary book ‘100 years – Oldenburger|Fritom’

To celebrate our 100-year existence writer Fokko Bosker was asked to write a commemorative book. The monumental book ‘100 years – Oldenburger|Fritom’ was officially presented during our centenary. The commemorative book is dedicated to the memory of Mr. Rinze W. Veenstra, the driving force behind the very existence of Oldenburger|Fritom.
