Orphanage in Bali, Indonesia

The "William Booth" Orphanage in Bali, Indonesia, takes care of boys who, for various reasons, can no longer live at home. In the orphanage, boys aged 7 to 23 receive shelter, clothing and food. The focus is on providing education, allowing the boys to become full members of society. Oldenburger|Fritom offers the orphanage financial support.

About the "William Booth" Orphanage Bali

The orphanage was founded on October 13, 2003 by the Salvation Army and only accommodates boys between the ages of 7 and 23. Not all of them are orphans. Some boys are placed in this orphanage by the government due to the miserable conditions in which they grow up. Although the orphanage has a Christian foundation, other religions are fully respected.

There are currently 30 boys living in the orphanage. The employees work every day to offer them a second home. A place where they can be happy and develop into adults who can become a full member of society. That is why the focus is on providing education and cognitive development. At the same time, attention is paid to social skills and ethics, for building and maintaining relationships.

Our partnership

In December 2023, our CEO was in Bali with his wife and son Mats to meet Aira, his future daughter-in-law. Aira was a volunteer at the orphanage at that time and gave a tour there together with the staff. Touched by the stories and the mission and vision of the orphanage, our CEO decided to donate an amount of money on behalf of Oldenburger|Fritom. With the amount, 4,000 euros, the boys can receive education in the orphanage for a year.

Certificate of Appreciation

The introduction and donation in December 2023 formed the basis for our partnership with the orphanage. Sincere mutual commitment has grown even more since then. In addition to a financial contribution for a new shower room, Oldenburger|Fritom also gave all the boys a complete soccer kit from the Dutch professional club FC Emmen, for example. In recognition of our donations and mutual trust, we received a Certificate of Appreciation from the orphanage in 2026.
