Sea Freight

Oldenburger|Fritom offers the best logistic solutions for your sea freight shipments. Whether it is the import or export of LCL or FCL shipments. When it comes to cross trades you can rely on our expertise as well. The same goes for the preparation of customs documentation and our own bonded warehouse. Furthermore, to guarantee maximum security, we conduct gas measurements. If necessary, we degas the container ourselves so you are guaranteed an efficient supply chain.

Sea Freight: LCL and FCL Import and Export

If you want to ship a container at a competitive price, Oldenburger|Fritom is the place to go to. We take care of both import and export LCL (Less than Container Load) and FCL shipments (Full Container Load). You choose LCL shipments when you need the transportation of a not fully loaded container from Rotterdam or another port.

Are you in need of a full 20 ft or 40 ft container or 40 ft high cube? We take care of this as well. In addition, we take care of so-called cross trades in case you have a shipment of which the transportation route doesn’t go via the Netherlands.

Customs documentation and our bonded warehouse

Oldenburger|Fritom is known for its short communication lines. This means you will always have a fixed point of contact, a Single Point of Contact (SPOC). He or she will translate your sea freight demand seamlessly to our logistic solutions.

We also have multiple employees specially trained in preparing customs documentation. Again, you don’t have to worry about a thing. We create a carefree process where we will take care of the smallest detail. We do this with the use of our own bonded warehouse and AEO status:

  • AEO-C (customs simplifications)
  • AEO-S (safety)
Oldenburger|Fritom has a bonded warehouse in Veendam and takes care of all documentation for customs clearance.

Gas measurements and degassing of containers

Every sea freight forwarder is obligated to check imported containers on the dangers of intoxication, suffocation, fire and poisoning. That’s why Oldenburger|Fritom conducts a gas measurement. It determines whether or not toxic gasses are (still) present in a sea container. Only after declared degassed, containers are allowed to be opened safely.

We are authorized to degas containers where gas is (still) detectable. This is in line with our policy regarding safety management. Besides taking care of the safety of our employees, degassing also takes care of possible damages by pests or insects. This is a standard procedure of our logistic services when degassing a sea container after transport.
