Do you want to know more about our educational cooperation?
By means of educational cooperation Oldenburger|Fritom actively contributes to regional training possibilities and education. We find it important that knowledge and know-how are maintained in the Northern Netherlands. That’s why we open our doors to pre-vocational schools in the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe. We also work closely with NHL Stenden University and Noorderpoort where we are a member of the Advisory Boards and give guest lectures. Furthermore, we regularly offer internships which often results in a contract of employment.
We invite students of pre-vocational schools to come and visit us. In this way, we give them a look behind the scenes that makes it easier for them to choose a profession and/or further education. For us it’s a great way to discover upcoming talent and to meet our future colleagues.
A visit of students from pre-vocational schools to one of our sites consists of:
NHL Stenden University has several branches in the northern part of the Netherlands and abroad. In the city of Emmen students can follow Logistics Management and International Logistics Management. Sustainable logistics is integrated in both courses.
Oldenburger|Fritom has worked with NHL Stenden University for a number of years. Since 2013 we are a member of the Logistics and Economics Advisory Board. Next to this, we offer the students internships. These take place under the supervision of one of our colleagues.
Since May 2015 Oldenburger|Fritom is also a member of the Advisory Board of Noorderpoort, a Regional Education Centre (ROC). We are focused on the correlation between the practice and theoretical knowledge. Noorderpoort has several branches in the Northern Netherlands. For Automotive and Logistics students are welcome at the branch in the city of Groningen.
Students of Noorderpoort can combine school and an internship at Oldenburger|Fritom for several positions, such as logistics assistant, team leader or truckdriver. In case of mutual contentment this often leads to a contract of employment.
We give guest lectures at both NHL Stenden University and Noorderpoort. Subjects vary from sustainability in the logistic industry to supply management according to the Lean Six Sigma method.
At our site in Emmen we give presentations about Smart Logistics followed by showing what this looks like in daily practice. At the logistic training center of our BREEAM Outstanding distribution center we regularly give presentations about various subjects and organize various trainings.
