The latest news of Oldenburger|Fritom
After 20 years at Oldenburger|Fritom, our colleague Albert Medendorp has continued his career at another subsidiary of the Fritom Group. On January 1st, Albert started as Operations Director at TGN|Fritom in the Dutch city of Zwolle.
Guided by our motto "Shaping the Future of Logistics," all our buildings in the Dutch city of Veendam are now BREEAM Outstanding certified: the highest achievable sustainability rating. Curious about all our highlights in 2025? You can see them in our end-of-year video.
Due to increasing demand for our Value Added Logistics solutions, Oldenburger|Fritom has added a third very narrow aisle (VNA) truck to its fleet. This sustainable truck will be deployed in our new, 15-meter-high BREEAM Outstanding distribution center in the Dutch city of Veendam.
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) states that every child has the right to equal opportunities. However, many children who grow up in poverty are disadvantaged early in life. That is precisely why Oldenburger|Fritom donates an amount every year around Christmas to organizations, our partners, that support these children.
Within Oldenburger|Fritom's Lean Six Sigma organization, all employees receive training in this improvement method. For example, at the beginning of this year, all our warehouse colleagues obtained the Lean Six Sigma White Belt certificate. Our warehouse shift leaders then continued with our internal Yellow Belt training.
On November 12th, an Open Day was held at the Noorderpoort Mobility, Transport & Logistics educational institution in the Dutch city of Groningen. Oldenburger|Fritom was once again represented. Our colleagues Marienus van der Laan and Mats Dale look back on a very successful afternoon and evening.
