Fritom certificate holders visit Oldenburger|Fritom

Today, the Fritom Group certificate holders visited Oldenburger|Fritom in the Dutch city of Veendam. Part of the program was a tour of our new and second BREEAM Outstanding distribution center, which was built to the highest sustainability standards.

The visit began with a meeting of the certificate holders, where Wessel R. Veenstra, chairman of Fritom’s administrative office foundation (STAK in Dutch), welcomed everyone. Arnold de Jong, CEO of the Fritom Group, then spoke about the current state of affairs within the organization.

Afterward, Oldenburger|Fritom’s CEO René Dale gave a presentation on BREEAM, the world's most widely used assessment method for the sustainability performance of buildings. In the presentation, he explained why Oldenburger|Fritom chose the highest possible BREEAM level: Outstanding.

This was followed by a tour of our new and second BREEAM Outstanding distribution center in Veendam, culminating in an impressive laser show.

Fritom is a family business with a deep-rooted sense of community. This was further emphasized during the buffet afterward.
