Within Oldenburger|Fritom's Lean Six Sigma organization, all employees receive training in this improvement method. For example, at the beginning of this year, all our warehouse colleagues obtained the Lean Six Sigma White Belt certificate. Our warehouse shift leaders then continued with our internal Yellow Belt training.
Our colleagues (from left to right on the photo) Gerard Melessen, Bert Lange, Fokko Boomsema, (Pieter de Jong), Nathasja Smit, Nico de Valk, and (not on the photo) Sander Hoefsloot, Michel Tol, and Cor Knobbe attended four workshops. They delved into various concepts of Lean Operational Management.
During the workshops, they explored how the "day start" approach in our warehouse operation can contribute to improving team performance. In short, they investigated how more efficient business operations, with a focus on continuous improvement, can contribute to customer satisfaction.
Now that the Yellow Belt training has been completed, the “day start” approach will be implemented next month. All our warehouse colleagues will receive targeted coaching.
Thank you, Pieter de Jong
Yesterday, our shift leaders received their Yellow Belt certificates from Pieter de Jong, who provided the internal training. Pieter has been working for the Fritom organization since 2023.
Initially at Oldenburger|Fritom, he will be focusing on a new challenge at Fritom Corporate starting December 1st. We thank Pieter for his dedication and wish him much success in his new role.
Oldenburger|Fritom also congratulates all shift leaders on obtaining their Yellow Belt certificates!
