Rita Oldenburger

Oldenburger|Fritom is a family-owned logistics company that can rightfully be called unique. We are now part of the Fritom Group - owned by the families Veenstra, Wiersma and Doorenbos - but in 1917 our company was founded by Jan Oldenburger. The great grandfather of our colleague Rita Oldenburger. In 1987 Rita’s father, also named Jan Oldenburger, asked her to carry out the administration of the company. Rita never left. Nowadays she still takes care of invoicing and is available when needed.

Rita: “Invoicing definitely became more diverse throughout the years. It’s much more tailored and customer demands continue to grow. Making my work way more dynamic and challenging.” Regarding the atmosphere between colleagues at Oldenburger|Fritom Rita states: “I love how everyone feels that they are a part of the company and is involved in the work we collectively carry out”. This solidarity feels like how it was at the beginning of my career at the Oldenburger Brothers – Gebroeders Oldenburger.” Rita is member of our employee’s association and helps with the organization of our company social events.
