"It gives me great satisfaction to meet customer expectations."
Through value-added services, VAS, Oldenburger|Fritom aims to add value to the supply chain of all its customers. That is why we have structured our warehousing operation in a sector-specific way. One of our colleagues who focuses on value-added services is Johanna van Loon.
Johanna has been working as a warehouse operator in our business unit Warehousing, VAS & E-Fulfilment since 2014. In her role, Johanna works together with her colleagues on various warehousing processes. "Besides storage, order picking, and preparing orders for shipment, I focus on VAS activities. For example, packing online orders in custom-made cartons with special labels, assembly and quality control."
Meeting customer expectations
It is precisely this diversity of tasks that Johanna enjoys and finds challenging in her role. She understands customer needs like no other. βIt is important that orders are delivered complete and as agreed. Like the 'Next Day Delivery' agreement. It gives me great satisfaction to meet customer expectations together with my wonderful colleagues.β
White Belt
In early 2025, Johanna, like her colleagues in the Oldenburger|Fritom warehouse, obtained the Lean Six Sigma White Belt certificate. "During the training, I learned how to identify opportunities for improvement to prevent waste." Johanna cites direct communication as an example, which allows her to respond more quickly to certain situations. "I also learned how changing the process sequence means you need to handle a product less often."
