In 2012, Metsä Board and Oldenburger|Fritom entered into a partnership. Within this partnership, Oldenburger|Fritom works closely with Dirk van Roeyen, who has worked at Metsä Board in Mechelen (Belgium) for over twenty years. Since 2017, he holds the position of Logistics Director Western Europe and UK. We recently asked him how he experiences our partnership and what role flexibility plays in this.

Last week, care and welfare organization De Zijlen paid a visit to Oldenburger|Fritom to reinforce our partnership. We discussed with Eric Zwennis, chairman of the board of De Zijlen, and PR employee Bas Scholte-Aalbes why we decided to work together.

The Lean Six Sigma method is anchored in Oldenburger|Fritom's business operations. That is why we offer all our colleagues the opportunity to follow a Lean Six Sigma training. Amongst others Marienus van der Laan, commercial manager at our company, makes grateful use of this.

Stimulating a healthy lifestyle, social interaction and fun for people of all ages: these are the characteristics of football club DZOH (Drentse Zuid Oost Hoek) in Emmen and especially important in these times. That is why Oldenburger|Fritom has already extended its partnership with the club.

The consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic are still noticeable at the end of 2021. Not least for children growing up in poverty.
