Niels Bos

To seamlessly integrate our logistic solutions into global supply chains, Oldenburger|Fritom has structured its operations in a sector-specific manner. "Think of the high-tech, food, healthcare, packaging, FMCG, and e-commerce sectors," explains our colleague Niels Bos, Supervisor Logistic Support.

In his role, Niels leads the SPOCs (Single Point of Contact) of our Logistic Support department. The SPOCs understand sector-specific issues like no other and translate customer wishes and requirements into warehouse instructions. "Besides managing the team, I monitor the various processes within our department." Niels enjoys the fact that he always works with different customers in mind. "How can we offer the best solution for the customer?"

Sustainable solutions
Sustainability is a cross-sector theme. Niels: "We work with fixed shipping days for various customers. We consolidate all orders for specific destinations and ship them on a fixed day. This directly reduces CO2 emissions." As many products as possible are also packed in a single outer box. “Furthermore, we do not use air bags for filling, but environmentally friendly crumpled paper."

Black Belt
In May 2025, Niels obtained his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. "With Lean Six Sigma, it is crucial to properly complete all the steps of the DMAIC model. So, don't just jump to conclusions, but first perform the correct measurements and analyses."

In his daily work, Niels sees that complex issues require a step back to determine exactly what is meant. "This allows us to answer the complete customer question much more efficiently, without offering partial solutions."
